I've been absent from blogging for a week or so but only because I have had the pleasure of hosting several Stampin' Up! events. The busy week wrapped up on Saturday with an awesome workshop at Pat's house. Thank you to all of my friends/customers who helped make this past week so much fun.
In the meantime, do you notice anything different? My creative friend and fellow Stampin' UP! demonstrator, Heather Prentice, has given The Joy of Stamping a new look...and I couldn't be happier. A graphic artist and marketing professional, Heather made this process so easy. If you have a blog or website and are looking for a new look or help with branding, Heather can help you!
Saleabration will soon be coming to an end. Don't miss out on the opportunity to earn FREE product for every $50 you spend. Hurry! It all comes to an end on March 22nd!
Now that I've gotten a bit of rest and my creative high is stabilizing, I had the opportunity to sort through some of the pictures I took over the past few days. One of the highlights of every Leadership conference is the Managers Reception. This year's reception was held at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I understand from a SU staff member that there were over 700 people there! The nicest part of the the event is that it was a private event. We had the park to ourselves. Sweet! Thanks Stampin' Up! for an awesome evening!
Waiting in line for the bus to take us to the park. My friend, Linda, and I had the privilege of bringing our husband's to Harry Potter too!
This sign and a red carpet greeted us as we entered the park.
The food was awesome too! Here's Steve enjoying a just a little turkey.
The food was spread throughout the entrance of the park and there was something for everyone! The weather was perfect too making a really great evening.
You can't go to a Stampin' Up! event without getting a picture with Stampin' Up!'s Co-founder and CEO, Shelli Gardner.
Poor picture because it was so dark, but this castle was amazing.
None other than Professor Dumbledore.
And finally, what's Harry Potter without Butterbeer? A perfect way to end the night! (And it tasted really good too!)
Thanks for letting me share my trip down memory lane. I can't wait for next year's event!
Funny title, eh? It will make sense by the time you get to the end of this blog post, I promise.
Have you ever experienced a creative high? You know the feeling where you have so many ideas and it's hard to keep a single thought. I'm experiencing it now. I've just returned from Stampin' Up!'s leadership conference and I am giddy with creative excitement!
Stampin' Up! has so many great products and programs on the horizon. There truly will be something for everyone - including for the special men in your life! (More on that in a minute...). Honestly, over the coming weeks and months you will be blown away by the exciting things Stampin' Up! will be unveiling. And, I am happy to assist you every step of the way.
One of the most exciting announcements was the introduction to Paper Pumpkin. Paper Pumpkin is a monthly paper crafting kit program that gives you the excitement of creating fresh and innovative projects every month with an all-inclusive kit (except adhesive).
projects will vary each month and could be card kits, 3-D kits or even home decor items!
kits are delivered right to your door for only $19.95 (which includes shipping!)
all cutting and measurements have been done for you with coordinated products too.
If you're one of those people who are afraid of commitment, no worries...you can cancel your subscription at any time.
Not sure if you want to commit to a subscription? Then the Try-It kit is for you. Get a taste of what the program is about for a one-time fee.
And now for the special men in our life. Are you one of those women who long to receive a hand-made card from the special man in your life? I had the privilege of receiving a hand-made card from my husband once - a long time ago. You may remember this post. I was so touched by and have that card in a special place.
Will my husband ever made another one?
Likely not. Why? He is overwhelmed in my craft room and doesn't know what half of the tools are.
Introducing....Dude, You're Welcome!
Take a look:
Look for more information tomorrow regarding this great kit.
I encourage you to check throughout the week. I will be showcasing cards from Leadership, which include great products from the new Spring Catalog. And, there will be more information about the new programs too!

Stampin' Up! has encountered some difficulty with the demonstrator website. If you have tried to access my online store to place an order, please contact me directly at [email protected] or call me at the number above. I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. They are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
If you are a follower of my blog, you know that I am a volunteer at one of two Ronald McDonald Houses in downtown Orlando. There are six area demonstrators, including myself, that take turns to provide guests of the Ronald McDonald House a few hours of papercrafting fun. Our goal is simple...to create an environment in which House guests will be able to enjoy creative expression in the comfort of their "home-away-from-home".
Last week, my friend and fellow demonstrator, Karen, and I headed off to the Kuhl St House and set up shop. We each had a card guests could make and spent the next two hours engaging numerous House guests in the art of rubber stamping. We were very busy and time went by quickly, but I was able to snap a few photos towards the end of the night.
These two cuties were fabulous artists. Given the chance, they would have stamped for days! I see two future demonstrators...
Here's a proud Papa! Surprisingly, we have quite a few men join us each month at our stamp table and we love it! I forgot this gentleman's name, but at one point, he and his entire family were stamping with us. We were very popular for awhile! Don't you just love his smile?
Here's Mom and Grandma...they too loved to stamp. When the mom completed both of the projects, she looked at me and said, "What's next?". I wish I had endless projects for them to do!
And, finally, here's me and my stampin' buddy, Karen, after a long, but fun night with the House guests.
Do you have interest in being a part of this fantastic opportunity? I would love to have you join my team so you, too, can join me at the Ronald McDonald House. Stampin' Up! is about more than stamps and ink... contact me at [email protected] so I can share with you the numerous opportunities (and blessings!) that owning your own stamping business can provide.
It's true. I have the best job ever. There is no other job that I can think of that nurture's creativity, builds relationships, encourages community involvement and allows me to be my own boss all the while selling the best paper craft products in the industry. I love my job.
One of the ways Stampin' Up! separates itself from its competitors is its community involvement. For years, Stampin' Up! has actively been involved in the Ronald McDonald House Charities. Hundreds of thousands of dollars have been donated through the sales of a special designated stamp set in each catalog. One of the ways we, as demonstrators, reach out is to go to the local Ronald McDonald Houses and provide a respite for those who are there caring for loved ones. We offer the opportunity to make cards, 3-d projects and special events at no cost to the house guests.
Orlando has two Ronald McDonald Houses. I am fortunate enough to work with a group of women and fellow demonstrators who are all committed to making a difference. I am proud to be affiliated with Stampin' Up! and working side by side with these 5 other women. We meet monthly to work on projects for the House, we share business ideas and we genuinely want to support each other. Let me say it again. I have the best. job.ever.
These are my fabulous friends. Top (left to right): Linda Goldhersz, Terri Tosh, Pam Liles. Bottom (left to right): Mary Ann Reiner (me), Barb Kemmel and Karen Mickel
Thank you, Ladies for making my job so easy...and fun!
Come back tomorrow so I can show you some of the swaps we did between us. You won't be disappointed. My friends are very talented!
Until then,
P.S. Time is running out to join the Stampin' Up! family for only $99! Contact me about this great offer so you can join the fun at the Ronald McDonald Houses too!
Various events and obligations kept me out of the stamp room this past week, but today I ended that terrible cycle! My good friend and downline, Amber, came over today to share the stamp room with me and to get our creative juices flowing.
We had good intentions and grand ideas - complete swaps, work on our display boards, talk a bit of "shop", etc. Well, let's just say we didn't quite get through everything, but the truth is, it was SO good to spend 4.5 hours with Amber today. And, we DID stamp!
Here's a picture of Amber in action:
And here's a picture of the two of us working on the vintage card we created:
And, finally, guess what? My beautiful daughter, Rachel, all of a sudden wanted in on the party too. Rachel doesn't exactly share my passion for papercrafts, but every once in awhile she likes to make something quick for her friends. Today she created a birthday card for one of her friends from college. It was nice to see you get your hands "inky" Rachel!
I have a busy few weeks coming up as I am preparing for my monthly stamp camps, three swaps and a Stampin' Up! Workshop at my house next Saturday. If you are in the Central Florida area and are interested in attending the workshop, please contact me so I can share the details. The new catalog is filled with exciting new products and I would love to introduce them to you.
It was a painful wait, but somehow I got through it. What wait am I talking about? The wait to get my new stampin' stuff from the 2011-2012 Idea Book and Catalog!! The truth is, it didn't take that much longer than any "normal" order would, but because the anticipation was so high, my patience was low. But imagine my sheer delight when I found this at my doorstep today...
Now THAT's what I'm tallkin' about! Sheer, unadulterated joy!
Take a look inside at some of my goodies...
Some of my new stamps...
And finally, my long awaited new favorite stamp set...
Woo Hoo! I can't wait to get creating! Come back tomorrow so I can show you what I've created with the new Up, up and away set!
