Collage Curios meets Sycamore St DSP

One of the cards my guests made over the weekend featured Sale-a-bration product and images from the Collage Curios and Mixed Bunch stamp set.  The color combination of Island Indigo and Tangerine Tango pop off the white background and draws attention to the beautiful, little butterfly in the middle of the bottle cap.  A simple, bright card that can be used for nearly any occasion.

The designer series paper (called Sycamore Street) and the ribbon/button pack are two of several items you can earn for FREE when you spend $50.  But, hurry!  This is for a limited time only!  Sale-a-bration, the biggest promotion of the year, will end on March 22, 2013.

Wow, what a weekend!

I had such a great weekend.  On Saturday, I had a fantastic workshop at Holly's and was able to showcase some great Sale-a-bration product.  We had a lot of fun.  And, I was so pleased that Holly and two of her guests decided to join the Stampin' Up! family.  A big, warm welcome to Holly, Paulette and Celina.  You'll hear more about them soon.

On Sunday, we had our Ink Happens! team meeting.  While not everyone could make it, the 7 of us had a great time.  We celebrated new members, an anniversary and had an opportunity to catch up on SU! happenings and then...CREATED!

LotydessertOne of the highlights of our get together was the dessert that Loty made.  Holy cow!  Not only was it absolutely delicious but the presenation of it was incredible!  It was, by far, the best fruit parfait I have ever had!  To show you how resourceful Loty is, can you guess what she made her tray from?  She decorated the Cutie Orange container!  It was SO pretty.

Swallowtail

A long holiday weekend has afforded me the opportunity to spend more time in my craft room.  I love when that happens!  With some free time on my hands, I reached for a new stamp called Swallowtail (#129216-C, #129213-W).  I'll admit, it's a little intimidating at first because of it's size but once I started playing with it, I liked it!

Swallowtail
The detail in this stamp is so beautiful.  Because of that I wanted to keep the rest of the card simple.  To add just a little color, I added three paper flags using the Print Poetry paper pack (#129312).  I also added a layer of Raspberry Ripple card stock to coordinate with the sentiment and a sweet little button with linen thread.  And finally, for some added interest, I took out the Color Spritzer Tool  (#107066) from my "Cool Tool" box and spritzed Raspberry Ripple ink from a marker to the card.

We are just about half way through the biggest and best promotion of the year...Sale-a-bration.  If you haven't taken advantage of this great deal, now is the time to do so.  For every $50 you spend, you will earn FREE stuff!  Yep, I said FREE!  Read all about it.

Have a great day.

Simple Sale-a-bration Cards with Print Poetry DSP

It's hard for me to decide what my favorite Sale-a-bration product is, but the stamp set, Feeling Sentimental, is definitely in the top 5. I'm drawn to the line art images and the vintage style of each stamp.  So many possibilities with this set!

I like having all-occasion cards on hand.  I love when I can reach in to my card box, add any sentiment and get the card in the mail.  That was my intention when I made these:

Do you see that gorgeous paisley blue paper?  Most people don't realize that it is Stampin' Up! paper, but it is!  It's a hidden jewel that I'm about to un-hide.  On page 16 of the Spring Catalog...the Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack, #129312.  This stunning pack of paper has 48 sheets of 4-1/2"x6-1/2" sheets in the following designs:

Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack

The paper is double-sided and unfortunately the picture only shows a snippet of the other side.  That's where I found my beautiful paisley paper!   Priced at only $6.95 US, this is a GREAT way to add color and pop to your projects. The assortment is fantastic!

SALE-A-BRATION - For every $50 of product you spend, you earn a Sale-a-bration product for FREE! You could choose the Feeling Sentimental Set above or choose from 18 other products!  Learn more about Sale-a-bration here.

 Have a GREAT day!

Sale-a-bration Sneak Peek

There's still a few more weeks until the official start of Sale-a-bration, but my card today showcases a couple of products that will be available when it begins on January 22nd.

Not familiar with Sale-a-bration

It's the biggest promotion on the Stampin' Up! calendar!  For every $50 you spend on Stampin' Up! products, you earn a free item in the Sale-a-bration brochure.  There are some incredible items available including stamps, designer paper, buttons, ribbons and more.  There's something for everyone!  Need a Sale-a-bration brochure?  Contact me and I will get one to you right away.

SAB thankyou
Every other month I participate in a swap with 10 other demonstrators across the country.  This month's theme is to use anything in the Sale-a-bration brochure (which demonstrators have access to one month prior).  My items are the designer paper and the button.  I LOVE these colors together but would have never imagined they looked so good together without seeing this paper.  The stamped image is from the stamp set From My Heart which is a great 8 piece set that offers unique and interesting sentiments.

Here are my swaps completed and ready to be mailed!

SAB thankyou all

Over the next couple of days I will be getting ready for the Stampin' Up! Leadership convention that will be held here in Orlando at the end of next week.  It's a great time to be a part of the Stampin' Up! family!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Congratulations, Sheila!

I am very excited to welcome another wonderful woman to my Ink Happens team.  Sheila G. officially became a member of Stampin' Up! on Thursday and is anxiously waiting for her starter kit to arrive.  Sheila, welcome to Stampin' Up! and welcome to my team!  You are going to LOVE it!

I have a small package going out to Sheila today and in will be this card:

Congratssheila

Congratssheila closeup
With just less than a week of Sale-a-bration left, I wanted to incorporate some of the beautiful Everyday Enchantment designer series paper.  The colors in this paper are just GOJUS!  The butterflies were created using the Beautiful Butterflies die cut (#114507) which makes it so easy to make four different sized butterflies.  The wording came from the set, Friendly Phrases (#126151C).  I used the omitting technique and my marker to ink only the words I was wanting, in this case, congratulations and friend.  And of course, no card would be complete without some bling.  In addition to the rhinestones, I added a Trinket Crown (#121891) in hopes of Sheila knowing how special she is.

ImagesCAF8A9FSAre YOU interested in joining my Ink Happens Team?  Now is the best time to join - the starter kit is ONLY $125!!  And, if that wasn't good enough, anyone who joins Stampin' Up! by next Saturday will receive either a pack of designer series paper each month for the remainder of 2012 OR a free digital download!  Are you ready?  Click here to join my team now before this extraordinary offer comes to an end!

Welcome aboard, Sheila!

Stampin' Up! Workshop

What a day!  I spent the morning and early afternoon with my hostess, Sarah, and her friends and co-workers.  We all had a great time at her workshop and Sarah was able to reap some fantastic benefits as a result.  She cashed in BIG TIME with Sale-a-bration items! I remembered to pack my camera...but I forgot to take pictures!  Grrrr!  I was so bummed.  I would have loved to have shown you the dynamic duo of Shelby and Charlotte.  They are 9 years old and future demonstrators.  They both did a really great job on their projects and enjoyed themselves too.  A big "Thank You" to all of Sarah's guests -young and not so young, that came to support her.  I thoroughly enjoyed my day with you.

I came home to another surprise in my mailbox.  I've mentioned my friend (and fellow demonstrator) Kelley, in previous posts. She always fills my mailbox with fun things.  Not only did today's box come with stamped items, but jewelry too!  Kelley is a fantastic beader and I am the proud owner of multiple pieces of her jewelry.  I have to show you the super cute ring she sent me!  I don't have pretty hands so, in an effort to keep this post "stamping-related" I placed the ring on the handle of my Crop-o-dile to show it off  :)  Look how awesome this ring is:

Bead ring

The picture really doesn't do it justice.  Kelley is such a talented artisan.  Go take a peek at some of her other items, especially her necklaces!  You can find them at: www.Kelbandesigns.etsy.com .  Tell her Mary Ann sent you!

I'm on my way to the craft room to prepare for Tuesday's Stamp Camp in Clermont, FL.

Interested in hosting a workshop like my friend, Sarah, did today?  Contact me at: [email protected] to get your party on my calendar!  I would love to be your demonstrator!
