Fabric Flower
August 11, 2012
I realize I've had a number of fabric projects posted lately, but I have one more for you today. This isn't a tote or a bag, but this time I'm using fabric on a card. Fabric isn't just for sewing machines!
To create the flower, I cut four circles of fabric. In this case I used the retired Circles #2 scalloped die and the Big Shot. Fold the circle in half and then in half again. Secure with your favorite adhesive. I used a glue dot for simplicity. Once all four "petals" have been formed, I placed them on a 2-3/8" scalloped circle from Pretty in Pink card stock. Tombow multipurpose glue worked perfectly to secure the petals. Once the glue was dry, I secured it with a silver brad.
The fabric to create this flower is the Candy Cane Christmas fabric (#121715). This fabric is discontinued from the Stampin' Up! Catalog, but it is available on the Clearance Rack! And for a STEAL! For only .99 you get 3 fat quarters of fabric. Yep, you read it right, only .99!
